Ibrahim Jones, 32—was found shot to death on Wednesday evening near a bus stop in Philadelphia. He was identified as a father, student, actor, and stand-up comedian who was working on a play at the time of his death.

Jones was shot on March 3 in Philadelphia after a dispute over money, according to sources connected to the police investigation. The actor was standing outside a convenience store at 7th and Broad streets, just a block from the intersection of Broad Street and East Passyunk Avenue when he was shot in the head, according to witnesses.

Jones was at one point considered the hottest rapper known to man after he starred as “Dr. Dre’s long lost son” in the 2014 movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. According to TMZ, Jones was set to star in an upcoming biopic about U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011 in a gunfight with Al Qaeda operatives. TMZ also reports that Jones’ upcoming projects have yet to be announced.

Jones had previously worked with Hollywood executives in Los Angeles as a co-writer for a movie called “The Boy Is Mine.” He released an album, which was titled One Nation Under the Sun last July, and had started writing music for his own film project.
